Oil type

This post is not relevant any more, please read explanations in following post.

Last Friday I was at Skoda specialist garage in Netanya and bought an extra oil. I didn't tell that when new car came to Israel garage, they drain out all factory-filled a high-grade oil and fill with local brand Delek that meets VW 502 00 standard. That is what Alex told me.

I posted oil label to one of forums to receive any feedbacks and people thinks that using VW 502 is very bad idea and it should be VW 504 with known brand (or 507). Just take a look on 502 vs 504 comparation and you will see why. You can check in Lubrizol Relative Performance Comparison Tool any other types too.

In the manual for Fabia (since Nov 2010, didn't checked earlier), Skoda recommends to use VW 504 only when you have flexible service intervals (QG1), for vehicles with fixed service intervals (QG2) - VW 502.
