Tire hernia

Got this recently.
It's symbolic cause I wanted to change tires anyway after 2 years.

FYI: It's not recommended to drive car on tyre with hernia.

Original tires were Bridgestone Turanza ER300

Expenses 2012

2 years are passed so far... Guarantee is over.

Highlights:

- total 19,549 NIS or 1,630 NIS/month

- more than half of the budget spent on fuel, mostly because of 98 octane

- last year average fuel was 7.36 NIS/liter

- car license almost the same, but now because of year test with extra 96 NIS

Service and loan cost is mine specific, as I change oil more often and keep other part running smooth. Loan also low as I almost finished payments before time, not as usual load is going.

Cruise control

I will put here fitting instructions for download because I can't find that on Internet, so it could be useful for interested people. I've scanned this in English, Russian and Czech languages.

I got set of 5J1 035 623 A for $330.
Set contains steering wheel switch, BCM unit and wirings.

Vgate ELM327 Bluetooth Auto Diagnostic Adapter Scanner

Got recently ELM327 scan tool. Bought from ebay for $13. But it travels from Hong Kong 2 month! I've already opened case for getting money back, because seller send me tracking number that no one can show me where it is :-)

Works nice with my car, connects via Bluetooth to Torque.

This tool can be used not only for VAG family but any car equipped with OBD2 engine management - most modern cars since 2000.
